Privacy policy

Version 2026-10-04
This policy explains what personal data the terrenascheck.com website (Terrenas Check) collects, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and how you can exercise your rights. We collect only what is needed to handle your request.
Data controller
- Operator: THERD SRL
- RNC: 133-63250-2
- Address: address provided on request
- Contact: contact form
For any question or request about your data, please use the dedicated form.
The data we collect
When you send a request
- Your WhatsApp number: this is the only required field. It lets us reply to you.
- Optional fields: name, email, language, type of property, area, stage of the project, services wanted, message. You choose what you tell us.
- Your consent choices (sharing with a partner professional, commercial offers): we keep a record of each choice, with its date and the wording you were shown.
The quick check-up
Answers to the quick check-up are anonymous: they contain no contact details. They are linked to a request only if you choose to send a request after the check-up. They are then copied into that request, so we do not ask you the same questions again.
Documents
The documents you upload (title, plans, contracts, photos…) may contain personal data, including data about other people such as the seller or neighbours. How they are handled is described in the "Your documents" section.
Messages and technical data
- Messages exchanged with us about your case, by WhatsApp or email.
- For the security of the site: a fingerprint (hash) of your IP address, not the address itself, used to limit abusive submissions, as well as limited technical logs.
Professionals who introduce themselves
If you introduce yourself as a partner professional, we process the information you give us (profession, firm, registration with a professional body, area of work) to assess the collaboration.
Why we use it
- To answer your request and communicate with you.
- To prepare a quote.
- To carry out the assignment and deliver the report.
- To follow up on your case.
- To protect the site against spam and abuse.
- To send you commercial offers, only if you have agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Legal bases
- Your request: handling your request, preparing the quote and carrying out the assignment you accepted.
- Your consent: sharing your case with a partner professional, sending you commercial offers and enabling measurement tools (see "Cookies"). You can withdraw it at any time.
- Our legitimate interest in securing the site and preventing abuse.
- Our legal obligations, such as accounting, where they apply.
Who can access it
- The THERD SRL team that handles requests, to the extent needed for their work.
- The professional assigned to your case (partner lawyer, engineer, architect or land surveyor), only with your consent and only for the assignment.
- The operator's internal lead-management assistant, a tool that helps the team follow up on requests. It receives the request information (contact details, project description) but never your documents: at most their number and type.
- Our hosting provider, Hostinger International Ltd., as a technical service provider.
- Public authorities, only where the law requires it.
We never sell your data and do not rent it to anyone.
Your documents
- They are uploaded through a secure, single-use link and then stored encrypted.
- Only the people working on your case can access them, and every access is logged.
- They are viewed through temporary links that expire shortly after being issued.
- They are never passed on to the lead-management assistant.
- They are deleted 12 months after the report is delivered, unless a different period was specified for your assignment.
- Documents attached to a request that did not lead to an assignment are deleted 180 days after upload.
How long we keep it
- Requests and contact details: after 24 months without activity and with no assignment in progress, they are anonymised or deleted.
- Documents: as set out above.
- Some information may be kept longer where the law requires it, for example for invoicing, and only for that reason.
Security
- Encrypted connection (HTTPS) across the whole site.
- Encrypted documents, restricted and logged access.
- Web addresses without personal data: the site never puts your phone number, your email or a title reference in a web address (URL). This information therefore does not end up in your browser history, in server logs or with third parties through a link.
Since no system is infallible, we review these measures regularly and recommend that you send documents only through the secure link provided.
Hosting and transfers
The site and the data are hosted by Hostinger International Ltd.. Depending on where the servers are located, data may be processed outside the Dominican Republic. We choose providers that apply recognised security measures. Messages sent by WhatsApp go through that messaging service, which is subject to its own terms and privacy policy. If you accept measurement tools, Google and Meta receive browsing data under the conditions described in the "Cookies" section.
Your rights
At any time, you can:
- access your data;
- have it corrected;
- ask for it to be deleted;
- object to processing, in particular to marketing;
- withdraw your consent (sharing with a professional, offers, measurement tools), without affecting what was done before.
To exercise these rights, use the data request form. To prevent anyone else from accessing your data, we may ask you to confirm your identity, for example with a message sent from the WhatsApp number used for the request. If some data must be kept to meet a legal obligation, we will tell you.
Visitors from Europe
For its visitors who live in the European Union, the operator endeavours to follow the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): specific purposes, data limited to what is necessary, limited retention periods, security and respect for your rights. This is not a certification of compliance. If you live in the European Union, you may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
Professional secrecy
Partner lawyers are bound by professional secrecy for the information entrusted to them as part of the assignment. Other partner professionals undertake to keep your information confidential and use it only for your case.
Cookies
No advertising or measurement cookie is set without your consent.
- A banner lets you accept or decline the tools we use to measure our campaigns.
- Google and Meta tags are disabled by default: they load only if you accept them.
- Even with your consent, no contact or case data (phone number, email, content of your request, documents) is sent to these platforms.
- Without consent, the site uses only technical cookies: a session cookie and a form security cookie that protects submissions against forgery. They are necessary for the site to work.
- Your choice is stored in your browser. You can change it at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of the page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
