Each item handled by the right professional
A property check draws on several professions. At Terrenas Check, each item is assigned to the professional licensed to handle it, and to no one else.
Title, deslinde and deeds: a licensed Dominican lawyer
Checks on the property title, the deslinde, registered charges, contracts and deeds are carried out or validated by a Dominican lawyer licensed to practise and registered with the colegio de abogados (bar association). The lawyer analyses the legal documents and signs the legal conclusions of the report.
Technical inspection: an engineer or an architect
Technical inspections (structure, general condition, installations, consistency between the building, the plans and the permits) are carried out by an engineer or an architect registered with the relevant professional body, CODIA.
Boundaries and measurements: a land surveyor
Checking the property boundaries, the measurements and how they match the cadastral plan is the work of a licensed land surveyor (agrimensor).

These professionals may be part of the THERD SRL team or independent partners. The quote tells you who will work on your case before you commit to anything.
The professionals shown further down this page appear only with their consent and after their credentials (registration with their professional body, licence) have been checked. We never claim a title, qualification or registration without proof. If the list is still short or empty, it is because those checks are in progress.

Conflict of interest
THERD SRL also runs the THERD real estate agency. When the agency is connected with the property or the transaction, you are told before the assignment starts, and you can ask for the check to be carried out by a professional who is independent of the agency. The professional who signs the report remains solely responsible for its findings.
